03/04 redesigned cluster into 01?

I have an 01 s40, and hate the look of my gauge cluster. I have obtained a cluster from an 03 which is more appealing. I know the connectors are different but since I have the pigtails, can I wire it in with no issues? Has anyone done this? I've scoured the internet for months to no avail. If someone can help? I'd be ever so grateful! Thanks
