I'll introduce myself properly shortly, but I've recently acquired a 2000 S80 2.5D SE Auto, which I'm quite enjoying driving. I've done 2k miles in the first 2 weeks I've had it. Anyway, great forum here, I've solved most of my problems (none major, just niggles) using the search, but theres one I was looking for a bit of assistance with.
When I unlock the car with the remote all the doors unlock, but when I try and open the drivers door it re-locks itself, so I have to unlock it with the key. I haven't taken the door card off yet to have a look and would rather not until I have the replacement part, I'd rather only have to remove the door card once
I'm guessing theres some electrical gubbins in the door at fault - or something inside the door has moved slightly?
Anyway, has anyone got a pic of the door internals, basically, whats between the external catch and the locking mechanism?
Is it something like this? If so I'll get one from my local scrapyard tomorrow.
