ignition switch connector

Post by kevinindetroit »

found the post on replacing the a/c evap core, pulled the dash and only found slight differences from your post. loved it and made the job soooo much easer to not have to search for screws. which brings me to my issue. the ignition switch/ key assy did not have a dowel to remove the cylinder so i just left it in, unfortunately i must have unpluged or what i dont remember but now my switch is in pieces. no worries you gave me a Volvo service manual. Page 9 on the 1998 s70 coupe pdf dig 3-1 is the pin out. 8 terminals, 8 wires..... except i have a yellow with a white stripe not a green with a red stripe. I am nervous to start with i dont feel like burning my car down now my wires dont match up ?
please help
