I spotted a leak in connection between condenser and pipe that leads to compressor. There are no seals or gaskets on that connection. Becides tightening the screw should I plan to vacuum the system and put silicon and reattach the pipe? I don't really feel like changing it at all...

There is an O-Ring located at the connection look here for the PN . You can try to tighten the connection, do not waste your time with some silicone, the high pressure side of the A/C runs in excess of 225 PSI; use the proper o-ring and make sure you use some PAG oil on it if you replace it. It would be best if you pulled a vacuum before you recharged it, doing so removes moisture, indicates if there are any leaks, and ensures you are able to refill with the proper amount of R134a.
Hope that helps!

What is really strange about the compressor O rings is that they are black rather than the green or blue colored O rings I am accustomed to with A/C connections. I took the black O rings to NAPA and had them try to match them up with the green ones - they got the small one correct but not the larger one so I just re-used the old black one.
