I have a 1999 S80 with 181,000 miles. I was recently told by a dealer that I need an ignition switch after I had it looked at for the "SRS- service urgent" message came on. This is the 2nd summer I have had this message and during the winter last year, the message disappeared and I had no problems until the weather got warm again. Now, I occasionally have no lights on the radio, or heat/ac, windows, and locks don't work unless I restart the car or wiggle the key in the ignition. I was quoted a price of $250 to replace the ignition switch. Can anyone tell me if this is something I can do myself to save money?
Also, how do I fix my clock? I can reset it to the current time, but it just stays there and won't move with each passing second. I don't know if it is broke for good (I hope not). I do like to know what time it is when I'm driving. Any suggestions?
