2003 S80 HU-611 Radio Removal

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2003 S80 HU-611 Radio Removal

Post by Skyharbor12209 »

I have to replace my HU-611 radio/tape/CD player since the CD function went away. All the research I did points to just replacing the darn thing. So, I found one and it is on its way to me. Does anyone have the directions I need to follow to remove the current HU-611? It looks like I can pry some of the dash radio/climate control system "faceplates" but don't know what is just clipped in and what is bolted in? Any help?

Here is a tutorial. It's written in Bulgarian, so I hope that the pictures will be enough for you.
