Hi Guys/Gals,
I am new to the forum, but not to Volvo's. I just wanted to let you know about a product that has brought my 1998 Volvo s70 T5 back to llife, with 400,000km's on the speedometer, I don't know another stock car that can keep up and purr the way my car does by simply doing this in-expensive service. It is safe, easy to use and very effective, not to mention good for the enviroment!!! Checkout my facebook page for more info at https://www.facebook.com/pages/TerraCle ... 927?ref=hl . With all the "snake oil" on the market I can honestly say this is NOT one of them!!!! Do your Car a favour and have this done!!
I have been testing for the last 2.5 years with the product and it WORKS!!!!

A lot of forum users may not have a Facebook account. Could you possibly provide a more direct link?

http://www.terraclean.net is the direct link to the TerraClean Engine De-Carbonizing and Injector Cleaning service if you dont have facebook, also check it out on Youtube from an episode on Wheeler Dealer , also check out
I've used the terraclean product (or better, had a local dealer use the terraclean on my car) and I was able to pass emissions after this. My HO values had been too high, and although I have leaky valve steam seals, I passed emissions after terraclean.
Someone had told me to use a fuel additive. The issue I have with it, if anything is left in your system, your emissions test will likely be much worse. The terraclean detaches your fuel line, right at the main inlet, and then runs two components through your system. Everything is cleaned out and then the fuel line gets reattached and it is garanteed to not have anything but fuel go throuh your engine during the test.
The result speaks for itself, with terraclean I passed the emissions and was able to put the car on the road. Now all I need to do is change the valve stem seals for long lasting results.

New to Volvo, already liking it. Hoping to keep it in good shape, not like the previous Benz 190e

I sucked in a few gallons of distilled water into vacuum tree to steam decarbonize cylinders, then removed all injectors n cleaned them in ultrasonic bath with technron several times while powering them all with pulsing voltage, then blew technron thru each injector under pressure using a syringe. Simple setup and you can't beat that with any magic fluids haha...oh and also replaced microfilters in every injector.. can you beat that???:) I think he is just advertising. Facebook is a total waste of time. The key is to use Chevron with technron and switch to Shell once in a while for a 1K-2K miles. Never use cheap gas. My car runs better than new. If you want a snake oil, seafoam is great. I put some into crankcase before I change oil. It gets really dark after application which is very good because it means it is cleaning the crankcase. One more thing.. that carbon buildup is really hard to remove. Once I took out the manifold and had to really scrub it around intake in the valves area and it still did not want to come off. This was after all the decarbonizing that I did with seafoam and a few gallons of steam. Unless it is some very aggressive acid, it will never remove most of the carbon, maybe just a little of the soft layer on the surface. Chevron and Shell gas additives will do a better job constatnly cleaning than a little bottle of "magic fluid".. Aren't the valve seals sensitive to aggressive solvents?? They are.. but its ok... I sprayed them with carb cleaner by mistake and let it sit there over night.. no problems:) The carb cleaner was to remove the carbon... not a chance it cleaned some of it, but not much. I had to really scrub it. And this was not even in the combustion chamber where everything is solidified like a rock. So.. if the most aggressive solvent like carb cleaner can't do it, how can that terra thing do it?? It may be good to use some of the additives once in a while to clean residue left after Technron and Shell's additives from gasonline, but do it right before changing oil to make sure it does not mix with oil and circulate in the crankcase for a long time creating a third chemical that may not be desired and leaving deposits alien to motor oil detergents.
