Changing Seats on volvo s40

Hi im changing the seats in my s40 t4 to leather ones but the new ones going in doesnt have the plugs for the air bag under the seats and now the airbag light is on is there any way round this? thanks

I'm an 850 guy, but, sounds to me like the new seats simply don't have the airbag in them. Were they an option for the S40 that year?

You might check into whether the car's SRS controller can be told that option isn't present, so the rest of your airbags will work again, but if it was me, I'd just put the leather skins onto your original seats.

^^^ I like his Idea. Otherwise you can stick the appropriate resistor in the connector.
