reduced Engine Performance
On two occasions I've had a warning message which read "reduced engine performance" and the car goes into limp mode. On both occasions it has been after diesel has been put in the car but that may be just coincidence. The first time I put it down to suspect fuel which I bought to get me to my regular filling station. The second time I had bought the fuel at Asda which I hope is Ok. When it happened the wipers wouldn't turn off or the radio even though the key was removed. Has this happened to anyone else and what could it be.

This could be something as simple as a relay contact stuck or a bad key switch. It is best to get the codes pulled and start from there. In addition, has the MIL come on with the warning? How long did the car stay in 'limp'? How did you manage to clear the problem in each occurrence?
Thanks

Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
