Hi all,
Does anyone have experience with the FCP branded ignition coils compared to the original Volvo ones? I am due to replace them on my 1992 960, they're still the original ones, so after 20 years it's time.
The difference is $25 per coil x 6 is $150. Or am I trying to save on the wrong item here? (as we say in my family: only rich people can afford to buy cheap things...)
Also, iPD used to have the HD coils, but it does not look like they have them for the 960 anymore? These apparently last longer than the OEM ones, but are they only for the more youthful Volvo models?
Thanks for your opinions, Best regards, Erik.

Hi Erik. I needed a full set and found a used set on eBay USA. They were a whole OEM set that had the newer part numbers and had 1 bolt hole instead of 2 (which are fine on the earlier models)
I was getting all sorts of trans codes and misfire codes. My original coils had a lot of white powder marks and the boots were breaking down. The whole lot were landed for about $90.00
