98 S70 lost all power like a lightswitch

98 s70 lost all power it was like the neg. cable was taken off the battery its happen twice in the last month starts back up the next day anyone have this happen towing is costing me and arm and a leg

Sounds like a bad fuel pump relay. If I were you, I would try replacing it. It doesn´t cost much.

Does everything shut off, stuff like the radio - etc. If so check, double check, and then check again all of the battery cables including the B+ cable that branches off of the + battery cable. Also check where the B+ cable bolts onto the post in the fuse box.

From there I would suspect the electrical portion of the ignition switch.
