Wondering what you all would do.
I need to do a coolant flush and I have almost 90K on my XC90. I am thinking of doing the full timing belt/water pump service at the same time since I'd just have to flush the fluid again in a few years when I do that. I can get the kit from FCP with all the tensioners and rollers too for 250. While I am doing that I was also thinking of doing upper and lower radiator hoses, (OEM's are $40 for both).
So, it's an extra $300 in parts, but I would have to redo the flush anyway. The recommended interval for belt/pump/tensioner/etc/ is 120K, but I was thinking I'd do it around 105K since that would be about 10 years.
What would you do?
Extra service during coolant flush? what would you do?

Is that an OEM water pump ( Aisin) with that timing kit or a Hepu?
For $250 it's good value as long as the components are OEM quality.
Most folks do the WP every 2nd timing change but at almost 10 years I would also be tempted to do the lot. You could recover the coolant if it's recent and want to put the timing gear job off.
I would also be replacing thermostat and temp sensor to keep the car's cooling system at peak efficiency.

It is a hepu, which it says was the oem pump. Is Aisin the OEM? I actually am going to buy the "kit" seperated, since the 250 kit comes with camshaft seals I don't need, I can get the pump tentioners and belt for 200, 220 if I do Aisin.
I did look upt the thermostat, and it runs $110. I don't have any signs of failure so far, is that a replacement that, if needed, can be done with out draining the fluid? I'm not sure where the placement is. EDIT, nevermind, yeah, it's alot easier to do all at once.

Hepu to my knowledge has NEVER been OEM.
Having said that they seem to fail rarely. Doing it all together would make sense at this age.
