850 a/c problem

Post by bsco »

Hi, my problem is this; my a/c works fine for about ten min. the the cold air dissapates, there is is still airflow ,just not cold. If you stop the car sometimes it will reset, but once you start again , ten or fifteen minutes max. Took it to a shop, they recharged it , checked for leaks,no problem.

They sai it was a coil? :? :?
I have looked for volvo part sites and nowhere do I see a coil? :? The said it was a mgnetic coil, that maintains the temp cold? Does that mean this part is electric, or what The compressor cycles on and off fine. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate them.

i've seen a lot of 850's with the same problem in this forum but no help was given. AC works for few minutes then stops. All i know is that when the pressure increases the compressor will shut down. Once the pressure drops it will start again.
