So far the I have removed or disconnected the following:
1) Battery
2)passenger sill trim
3) passenger side carpet
4)Glove box and kick panel
5) 4 of the 5 screws holding the blower motor in place......and this is where I am stuck as i can neither see nor feel the 5th screw.
According to all the diagrams on the forum that I have seen, the fifth screw is just behind the drain spout on the plastic cover for the blower motor. I just cannot find it and do to want to break the last clip.
I have not removed the sound proofing which seems to have " metastasized" it self around the blower motor. I am feeling that this is a must to be even marginally successful.
My questions are these:
1) if the sound proofing is to be removed, can it be done in one piece or should I not bother to try keep it hole?
2) What methods are being used by the techs to replace this blower?
I have tried to "kneed" the sound proofing with my fingers, to allow some passage behind the blower motor with a flexible screwdriver, but the combination of short stubby fingers and large body does not allow for much contortion.....only foul language, none of which has aided in getting the last screw out.
As always thanks for the input.
