GAS MILEAGE 740GL 1989 AUTO

What sort of gas milege are people getting
1. In town 2. On the highway.

I have been averageing around 21 mpg combined. Its not the greatest but it not the worst either! I have a GL Wagon...

14-16mpg city. 16 hwy. seems to never get past 16 despite new cat, new o2 sensor, new intake.

i'll post again after tune-up.

1986 740 GLE - 2.3 normally asperated, automatic (4-speed, no overdrive)

City = 20 mpg
Straight Highway = 27 mpg
210,200 miles on clock with full tune-up completed at 199,000. 8,000 miles on four new tires, with pressure set at 36 psi cold all around.
