Crack in pipe/vacuum leak

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Crack in pipe/vacuum leak

2000 S80 T6 131000+ miles. While replacing my air temp sensor that is attached to charge air pipe(clips on sensor broke and it blew out under acceleration) I discovered a problem that could lead to an undetectable vacuum leak. It was the original pipe, but is a lesson in how important it is to replace the plastic components of a car BEFORE they break. I was not able to bend the lip on the new pipe at all. On the old one it bent very easy and I discovered a crack where the o-ring attaches the pipe to the ETM. We all know how jacked this car can run with a vacuum leak! Going to garage to further inspect my baby. Have to wait for husband to get home to finish my job....I don't have enough muscle to get the new pipe back on the ETM. (once in awhile I have to be a dams-ole in distress)
