2006 S40 T5 not starting - timing?

Post by quaverous »

I changed out my timing belt and now my S40 won't start. It is not the full cranking sound but it sounds like it is trying to turn over.

My best theory is that the timing is off after replacing the intake cam seal. Looking for other ideas and/or instructions on how to time the motor from scratch.

If you removed the camshaft pulley to replace the seal, the VVT probably needs to be reset. I'm not sure what the specific procedure is for this car.
