So, as the title says, I've got oil coming out the seals behind the cam pulleys, one of which is new. Its not dripping, its running and makes a pool under the engine on the passenger side. I suspect the crankcase vent is plugged since I found and repaired a broken hose running from the top of the radiator to the rear of the engine on the drivers side that I believe is part of the vent system. We had no boost before, now we do, but we also have oil leaks and if I turn the oil fill cap to loosen it the cap will literally pop off the engine!
So, what would be the fix for the pressure inside the engine? And if I fix it are the seals likely to stop leaking or are they blown and need replacing?
The car has 170K miles and has had lots of repairs and maintenance done as required by mileage and as needed by failure of parts etc. What I'm getting at is that its not a beater, but needs some work now to keep the oil inside where it belongs. I'm kinda on my own here as the mechanic we normally use is on holiday for two weeks and we need to have the car running. Any help greatly appreciated.

Looks like you need a pcv overhaul.
Do a search of past posts as plenty of advise in forum on how to fix it.
Camshaft and crankshaft seals can fail with a faulty, clogged pcv.
Will need to redo your camshaft seals to fix the oil leak.
Good time to check waterpump, cambelt, tensioner etc whilst accessible.
Is there any oil forcing itself out thru your dipstick also, especially with stick out and engine idling?

I have been reading the posts and agree the pcv system needs repair. Timing belt, vvt and seals were just done a few months ago too! No oil out of the dipstick, but lots of pressure there and at the oil fill. Thanks for the reply and advice, much appreciated.
