2001 V70 T5 Any way to retrieve previous service history

I was wondering if there is a central volvo database for dealership service info. I bought the car at 120K miles. Previous owner had it from 63K. She had some sort of VIP 100K miles extended service warranty on the car based on the detailed service records she provided me at the time of sale (covered things like replacing the transmission at 71K !).

Assuming they would only have given her such a warranty if all of the previous work was performed by a Volvo dealership, is there a way, based on the VIN, to retrieve the service history for the first 63K miles. I do not know whether the dealership she used was the original dealership for the car (going to shoot them an email to find out).

General maintenance visit can be checked at the original dealership, period under warranty.

Hey there. I don't know if this helps but I am in a similar boat. Trying to trace history. Volvo hold info on a database and printed me out all the service info up until it was serviced by an unauthorised garage. Dont get excited though it doesn't give anything more than what date and milage it was serviced at. I consulted a schedule to see what they did at these intervals.

That's a crock of sh*t. I've never had a problem getting service records once I found out who the dealer was.
