2004 XC90 Purchase or no?

Saw an XC90 at an intriguing price for sale, but the T6 tranny problem is scaring me away.

2004 XC90 T6
New tires, brakes, rotors, thermometer, fuel pump and timing belt were all put on between July and September 2012.
New battery and oil change in August 2013.
122,XXX
Asking $5000

Is it worth it to roll the dice with this? I dont mind putting a few grand of work into it if I need to.

When I was shopping for mine, I found many t6 for cheap with the transmission already been changed. After much research, i decided against the t6. My recommendation is to find a 2.5t even if its a little more expensive. You will be glad you did so.
