93 960 Wagon Transmission Gone?

93 960 Wagon, Automatic. Recently been having problems with the warning lights coming on and then fixing themselves. When lights on, the tranny seemed like it had no force and sometimes would not move at all. Changed fluid, filter and seemed to help for about a month, then most recently, lights came on again, drove alright but sometimes sluggish. More recently, the transmission failed completely, lights on and everything. Gear shifter works perfectly but nothing happens when shifting. Oddly, the lights weren't on the last time I hopped in and started the car, but the next time they were working. The car does not move under its own power. It just quit working altogether...what is the deal with this thing? It has 177k on it and is practically mint, runs perfect and I would compare the body and interior to a 2003 model year car, but the transmission is, well, not working. Any help?
