So I completed this on my HU- 613 and my first few attempts where unsuccessful as the pictures I found online the boards were nearly identical but not exactly the same. so I tried a few different spots to solder the left n right audio connection to and finally got good clean signal with no Feedback. but I did notice that when using I Heart Radio whenever the song changes my phone re acts as if the headphone cable has been removed and therefore pauses the song and even just hitting play does not continue to play the song which I could deal with but in fact I have to unplug the headphone cable plug it back in and un pause the song.

As you can imagine this is extremely annoying and instead of connecting the wires too the center connections on the variable pot if you look on the board on the under side of it you'll find two rectangular capacitors there red color and if you connect the wires left and right audio to those feet closest to the pot that's where I hooked up my connections and found the best signal without any feedback and for a ground I tried a few different places thinking the ground was the problem and in turn ended up using a chassis ground and I just grounded it to the cassette mechanism screw and that seems to work, but I still have this effect of the sound pausing.

I'm going to do a little bit more research and see if I can find the instructions for the CD mods of the same nature and see if that has the same effect.

Any help from anybody would be greatly appreciated. Or anybody else's experience with this mod. Also I'd like to hear your thoughts on it and again this was done on an HU-613 in an 04 S60 of if any one has a better way to get an aux I. With out one of the 60$ boxes that plug in I plan on replacing the head unit soon but for now need my aux to work.
