An e-mail came in this morning (December 29, 2005), any comments? I think it is BS.
She says, " the service reps told me that since my battery was only 500 charge amps instead of 600 charge amps and that the resistance of the cables/leads coming from the battery were not reading proper "resistance" that might be why the ETS module is "defaulting".
Therefore, they supposedly upgraded the software of the ETM that's currently on the car and cleaned whatever they say needs cleaning but they did not replace the module. Five minutes after I drove from the services department I experienced the ETS default so I called the service rep from my abnormal idling car. He said the ETS is going to continue to have problems until I get the 600 charge amp battery and new leads from the battery.
On my AllDataDIY I found references to the battery being either in the engine compartment or in the rear? I think this guy is just trying to pad his bill since for an ETM replacement he can only charge 1.1 hours under a warranty replacement but 1.4 hours standard.
(Edited a couple of hours later)
I found an interesting freebe. It is for emergency personnel that might be working an accident. It shows how to get into the car and cut off power.

It is a free PDF file you can download. It shows that for the S60/V70 (01-)/V70 XC (01-)/XC70/\S80/\XC90 are located in the cargo compartment (trunk). On all other models the battery is located under the hood.
