Thanks for the ride

After nearly 25 years of having at least one volvo in the garage. I have given away my S90. I will never own the brand again. The recent years of inadequate (and diminishing) quality is my main reason. I accepted the flimsy interiors that actually can be damaged by an inadvertent fingernail. Accepted the time I turned the key on a fairly new timing belt, and lost my engine when the "rubber" belt still broke - which resulted in a $5000 repair. The leather that deteriorates with any consistent use ( compared to another brand I own with 19yr old leather seats that have "zero" significant damage).... I will accept these things No Longer !

...And finally, to test drive a new model, only to get the same feel as my old volvos.... no suspension, handling, braking, etc improvements of any significance. Only new shapes. I left dealer confused - am I happy that my 200k mile car feels as good as a NEW 2013 - OR - sad because the NEW 2013 felt similar to driving an old high mileage car... My newest Car (MY2010 non Volvo) was an obvious improvement over it similar predecessor...

Thanks for the twenty five.... the ride is over.....
