My beautiful dark espresso brown XC beast is showing its age it seems, but not gracefully.
At 185,400+ miles, everything works just fine, except suddenly without warning, the turn signals have stopped working along with, the DIM (driver information module/) illumination, & radio illumination. The check engine light came on.
The car runs great. All the other electrics like the sunroof, radio, climate control, brake lights, wipers, courtesy lights, speedo/tach, etc. are working.
I already pulled & checked all the fuses, and none have blown.
I was wondering if anyone can give me some insight into what the source/cause of the problem might be?
Any trouble shooting techniques, to narrow the problem down? I have to pull out and replace the whole DIM? Well that seems silly to me.
If the car was connected to VIDAS, would that reveal what the problem was? or only that there was a problem?
I already tried standing in front of my car, and reading out loud to it, the poem by Dylan Thomas, "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night". Alas, it didn't fix the problem.
