This forum seems really quiet,can anybody explain why,it's definitely more car orientated,my previous forum I was on was busy but you could get banned for expressing a view or opinion.i.e politics or anything like that.

Everywhere you go and everything you do or be part of is governed by a set of rules and glue that keeps it civil. The glue here is Volvo and the civility is kind of like the Golden Rule. Been here for 2 years and will visit other forums for car related items as I own other brands. Have not join other car forums due to the attitude of its member even though the information is excellent. Here you can get banned also but most people here have an interest in their cars and are not trying to show it off or hot rodded it as in some of the Ricer forums. Lively on occasions but rarely offensive.

The goal here is not to win a race with the Volvos but just to enjoy them and everyones seems very glad to see their neighbor enjoy their cars. Politics and religion belong in the Yahoo comment section where things are always ugly.

Yes would have to agree with everything you have said,and this is a really good forum.personally it does my head in when you have half a forum shouting the ods with each other over,falling out with each other over things like politicians,all I said is I didn't like the Conservative party here in the uk,and was banned for 3 days lol but hey ho,politicians come and go and our forgotton unless there winston Churchill or bill Clinton he is talked about quite often here in the uk.but our volvo's will still be here

,and thank you for the explanation and once again I really like this forum.

Hey Kieran,

Welcome to the forum! I too am a member of other Volvo sites but I do the vast majority of my work here at MVS. I have two reasons for this. 1. As you stated this is a great, civil site. I have yet to read any post that is really negative or disrespectful of others. I think that the user's of MVS pride themselves on this. 2. The information on this site and the knowledge base of it's users is very extensive. Put those two things together and why would I go anywhere else?
