2002 v40 Distributor

Post by nunudee3 »

Hello I am new to the site. Greetings everyone. I would like to know where the distributor is on the v40? Is it under the air filter or around the cam sensor?

There is no distributor. It has two coils. Each coil fires two cylinders at once, one plug under the coil and the other plug through the plug wire from that coil. Cylinders 1 and 4 are paired and 2 and 3 are paired. Engine has an RPM sensor (also known as crank position sensor) behind and below the cylinder head at flywheel end of engine. There is a cam position sensor on end of exhaust camshaft.
