98 V70 AWD Summer's Coming - New Tires
I am planning to buy a set of 205/55 16's for my car for this new season. I'm sorry, I know Tire Rack is a sponsor and all but... Anyone bought tires off ebay? I've found some good looking new tires 91H rated for under $300.00, even recognize the names and dealers in a couple of cases. What's the down side to buying like this? I'd have to pay for tire rack mounting anyway and $20.00 ea for mounting and balancing would be the same regardless. I don't want to futz with any different sizes, I ran 17 inch wheels last year and really hated them so I'd like to go back to my original 16's. I still may do tire rack and will check them for price comparison. It's the shipping that kills the price as the ebay's are 90% free shipping.
