Hello all I just recently replaced my PCV system which required me to take apart the fuel line and injectors and intake manifold. After I put it all back together the car idles fine but when I put it in drive or any gear it dies immediately. I was able to avoid a tow by revving it in neutral and dropping it into gear to get through town. Hey check engine light just came on and I'm about to buy an obd reader. Any other possible causes or solutions that I can try. I'm planning on going on a large road trip this weekend and would like to get this fixed ASAP
EDIT.
puller p0243 code, and idles very poorly now. any help is appreciated.

Probably a large vacuum leak. Check the seals on your injectors and that they are fully seated in the intake manifold.
There is a bracket at the right of the intake manifold that guides the lines around the corner - right, bottom screw. Check that it is not jammed in between the gasket and head.
Also double-check the throttle body air hose...I have missed tightening down that clamp completely before and it's blown off after doing a PCV job - the car will run all sorts of weird.

Quick note purchasing a obd2 reader is a great investment. Ive had a lot of luck with my actron. However all autoparts places now read them free too so it depends on your urgency lol
