98 V70XC Applying brake makes steering jerk

Post by jmana »

The last 2 850 style Volvo's I've had have had this same issue and I could never figure out what causes it. Basically when you apply the brake at speed you can feel the front end of the car jerk towards the left momentarily, and then straighten back out. I've had both cars to the alignment shop and they could never find a reason for it. The brakes and rotors are fairly new on the one I just bought (the V70) and were new on the 850 I just sold. Any ideas?
