2004 xc90 instrument cluster won't keep correct time

2004 xc90 instrument cluster won't keep correct time

For some reason...the clock on the instrument panel won't keep the correct time...after a few days it starts the run faster and it keeps going until I change it back.

I'm not sure if the time is stored locally in the DIM.. but if it is, it could be:
1. Failing solder joints (a known problem)
2. Bad capacitors
3. Something else in the DIM causing the problem
