2435 cc eng b5254t

it uses alot of oil and oil is all in the intake system
about 1 quart every 2 weeks
turbo looks fine and confirmed by a foreign auto parts owner.

He says he believes the engine has alot of blow by. i cannot check because i have already took the head off the motor because my buddy said the water was mixing with the oil .

the main problem for me is do i need to re-ring this sucker? And can i do it while the block is still inside the car, that is with the head already off.

please help ur advise will be greatly appreciated.

A lot of oil in the intercooler piping is a telltale sign of a turbo that needs to be replaced. Water mixed with the oil was probably from condensation or your need for a new radiator. Did you check compression before tearing everything apart?

There's no reason to do a job halfway. If the engine did need to be rebuilt, it should be done all the way with it pulled out of the car. By that, I mean boring the cylinders, re-ringing w/ appropriately sized rings, main and rod bearings, etc.. It is not as difficult as you might think to pull the engine out of the car.

the motor is still good and do not need a rering
if so i can buy a new turbo and put the head back on with a new gasket
and everything
i just don't want to redo the motor
to expensive and time consuming
what u think
