1996 850 2.5 N/A A/T central locking normal to two step mods

hi MVS

i had a volvo 850 1996, with normal central locking system and volvo guard 2 alarm system.
all doors are unlocked with first push of my fob remote or first turn of the door key.
i have the central locking relay p/n 9128833 installed from the factory.

can i modify to two-step central locking system which only unlocks driver's door on first push of fob remote or first turn of the door key?

You can modify the system but it isn't as easy as plugging in a new relay. The relay socket is different as is the driver's side door latch.

Check pages 40 and 41 of the system wiring diagrams in the factory service manual to see the differences.
