08 s60 electrical sys question

Post by Sagan »

Ok, I kinda goofed here. I backed the car into the garage, almost to the wall, then jacked up the front end. Now I can't open my trunk to disconnect the battery. Will disconnecting the positive in the engine compartment do the same thing, or does it feed somewhere else before it gets there?

Thanks in advance

Joe

No, there are some items on that car fed by the fuses in trunk.

Ha. I was able to open the trunk just enough to get to the rear seat releases. A little awkward, but battery is now disconnected.

Releasing the positive in engine bay only will light up the SRS. Glad you found a way.
