2001 s80 Alarm malfunction

2001 s80 Alarm malfunction

My car alarm kept going off for no apparent reason for the last week or so but not every time I locked the car .Thinking was the alarm module was suspect ,as it is listed as a common fault .Turned out to be an air freshener ,the type that fits in the air vents .Once removed the problem has gone away .
