95 850 T5R trans swap

Planning on doing a 5 speed swap in my T5R sometime this summer..Im getting a 5 speed trans & pedals from a friend so I guess all I need is the shift cables. I found a 98 C70 5 speed in the scrap yard, will the shift cables work out of it ?
