The head rest for my fold down seats won't go down? There isn't any buttons on the sides to push no strap to pull? I firmly tried to push down with no result any solutions out there? Thank you

I believe the headrest wont go down unless you pull the lever for the seat bottom. Pull the the lever, that should release the seat bottom allowing the seatback to do down which in turn lowers the headrest.

The cable that connects the seat base to the headrest release often breaks. You can see it from the rear of the seats, remove the covers to expose the battery (and the rear of the seat base). It looks much like a bicycle break cable or lawnmower. You may be able to pull on the cable to release the headrest.

In my case I pulled and ripped the cable out (oops). So I ended up popping the top the seat trim section up (not off) and using a 10mm deep well socket (1/4" drive) and ratchet removed the two shouldered nuts that hold the headrest assembly in place out (a small magnet helped). Once out you can lift up slightly but the assembly will not get past the leather. Next I used a 90 Degree pick (the one bent like a L) on the left side support of the headrest, on the inner part you can see the lock arm, I pressed it forward (working from the rear) and the headrest released.

I hope this helps - I looked all over and didn't find anything and just took matters into my own hands.
