Hi guys,
I have a 1995 850 with a soft brake pedal. I replaced the master cylinder and thoroughly bled the brakes. I am getting no air out of any of the bleeders, just nice solid streams of fluid. The pedal gives a little resistance, but eventually sinks all the way down to the floor. Is there any other component on these 850's that will cause a sinking pedal with no fluid loss other than a master cylinder? Could it be the ABS modulator? Thanks for your help!

Do you think you might have some bad flex lines? It's possible fluid is leaking internally. Have someone hold the brake and see if the flex line has a bulge in it.

was the master cylinder bleed? If so your master cylinder is defective or one of the lines at the master cylinder may not be seated. just a little air in the system would cause your described problem.
I did bench bleed the master cylinder and all the air seemed to purge out fine.
One thing I did notice when I was bleeding the calipers: the streams of fluid coming out of the screws were solid but very weak. Usually when I have my helper depress the pedal the fluid comes blasting out of the screw, enough to squirt to the other side of the car if I remove the hose; not so with this car. That makes me think fluid is pushing past the master cylinder o-rings. I have a new master cylinder on the way so we will see how that goes.
