My over flow tank cracked open and leaked coolant. I replaced the overflow tank and filled . The dash display said coolant low stop safely. The overflow tank is full but the message is still there. Could this be the thermostat or air in the system. Puzzled please help.
Thanks Dave

Bump the tank in few directions to get the float loosened up. Often the float hangs at bottom and a thump will free it. Sometimes floats fail with age and heat and tank has to be replaced.

Inspect the level sensor electrical connector for cleanliness; a small coolant ingress from the leak may have contaminated the contact pins thus causing a 'false positive'.
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
