1994 850 check weird diagnostic code
Greetings all, after the check engine light came on and i learned how to read the flashing light on my wifes 1994 850 wagon, I got a weird one: 231 on A7. The others were 1-2-1 A2 (MAF sensor) 4-4-4 A3 (no power to hydraulic modulator valves) 1-1-1 A6 (no DTC set...what does that mean?) B1 nothing, B2 1-2-2 (no speed signal) B6, nothing. I'm guessing I need a new MAF sensor, but does anyone know anything about that odd code on A7? I did the test twice and got the same results each time. Let me know what you think, thanks. JB

The A-7 code 2-3-1 is a microprocessor checksum error in the instrument cluster. Try to clear it and see if it comes back. My guess is that it happened during a low battery condition. Same thing for the A-3 code, clear it and see if it comes back.
I usually treat the first reading of all codes as legacy codes. I clear all of them and then see which, if any, come back and then focus on them.
