I need an antenna and would like to have one of those short stubby types -- like this?

Or one someone can link me to. Kind of confused whether the ebay one will work?
Can you go through a carwash with these or do you need to unscrew them first -- don't care about reception that much -- I also see a 3" model but know nothing about them.
Thanks for any help.

The short answer is the antenna you are looking at won't work because it has no base with antenna wire attached--see the disclaimer. They just throw up every car brand under the sun to get you to see their product in a search. You will need to buy an antenna with an adjustable angle base, or better yet, use the OE external mount because the fender has about 30 degrees of slope and the OE mount looks better than any of the aftermarket China junk that is just prone to corrosion.
I assume you have a power antenna that no longer works or is broken off. I had the same issues and wanted a fixed antenna. We garage our cars and hand wash them only, so I never saw the use of a power antenna and having to repeatedly replace the stalk when it's tape would break every few years. At Auto Zone, I found a black powder-coated 31" fixed antenna with an adjustable angle base, and with some minor modification, was able to use the rectangular shaped OE external mount. I like the updated look of the black and the reception is excellent. I don't personally see the attraction of a gangsta' stub antenna, but to each their own.

Ok thanks -- I have an autozone down the street -- I'll just cut the 31" length to suit me. I was really looking for something other than the power antenna (fixed it 3 times) that was small and either removable or could be short enough where a car wash won't hurt it.
I may just build something myself -- electronics is what I do.
