1994 940 Distributor Rotor has excessive play on shaft

Hi - my first time on forum. I am replacing my distributor cap and rotor on my 94 940. Both the new and the old rotor, when inserted onto the distributor shaft, seem to me to have excessive play (rotational).
The engine idles roughly whether hot or cold. It is also slow to start (have to crank it 5-10 seconds) WHEN COLD. Starts quicker when warmed up.

I have replaced distributor caps and rotors in other cars years gone by, but have never seen a rotor that flopped back and forth...it's just a sloppy fit??? I don't get it. The new rotor fits the same.

Any thoughts please???

Is the rotor the correct part. Is it genuine Volvo or Bosch part?

Buy right parts? I think distributors mounted on head have different parts.
