how do I replace the rear speakers

how do I replace the rear speakers in the 2000 S 70 Volvo. I just bought 6*9 speakers to replace the rear speakers but I see no way to put them in . how do I replace them

I don't know that 6x9s will work without some modification.

Rear shelf speaker fix volvo 850 s70 v70 c70 xc70 will get you started at least.

Also I recall an ohm difference between stock and common aftermarket speakers. Perhaps someone with stereo knowledge will chime in with more info.

You need 8" round speakers and unfortunately there aren't many to choose from.
