2002 S60 AC not "ALWAYS" working

Post by sergio »

.
Problem;

AC was not engaging;
Filled up the gas. It is full now
Checked the relay. The relay seems Ok. (Can hear the click when power is supplied)
If I short circuit the relay (direct wiring) the compressor kicks in.
When driving, turn the AC on, there no immediate response. Only, and sometimes, after a while the compressor engages and cold comes out. Stop and drive, no more AC!

VIDA;

ECM-5000 A/C Pressure sensor. Signal too low
1 - short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
2 - open-circuit in signal cable
3 - contact resistance in connectors
4 - defective air conditioning (A/C) pressure sensor

Questions;

Can't find anything in the wiring diagrams to follow the circuits!!! (my IQ must be low too :oops: )
But it is possible that 1, 2 and 3 do not apply due to the fact that it sometimes work sometimes doesn't. Or I am making a mistake?

How do you test the AC sensor?
