2004 S60 Intermittent ABS Light

Post by Holty44 »

Ok, so every morning I get into my car to drive to work and the ABS light is on. I back out of my driveway, about 30 yds, put my car in drive and start going. Once I'm moving in drive the light goes out and will come back on about 30 minutes later. The brakes work fine and don't seem to make any weird noises. Could the ABS module be going bad, or what else? This has been occurring for a while

Does sound like the ABS unit might be intermitant (common failure) but wheel sensors are another possibility.

Sounds like cleaning the brake sensors would be the first step. Could I do this at home? Does anything other than the wheel need to come off?
