How to: Prevent your glovebox latch from ever breaking

Post by White850Turbo »

A good man by the name of Slater recently wrote this article on strengthening the glovebox latch so that it will not break. Like they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I thought some of you guys here might be interested in this. I know I will be doing it in the near future.

I am a new owner of a 97 850 and I have seen the occasional post re the glove box lock problem. Does this problem only occur if you actually lock the glovebox or can it happen even when you are not locking the glove box with a key?
