Did I just blow my engine?

I know it is a dumb Title and I should know the answer to this question but please bear with me. I own a 1994 850 turbo that has almost 200,000 miles. It has stood the sands of time. Every now and then it would smoke out the exhust for a few moments then quit. Well the other day I was going up a hill and the turbo engaged after I came to a stop Billows and Billows of smoke started to poor out, So much so people got out of thier car to help because they thought my car was on fire.(lol very imbarassing) I managed to get it home but the turbo was winning very load and seemed to have no power, However, the only time the car would start to smoke is when I took my foot off the gas???? Is it just my turbo or should I look at having the whole engine replaced? Any thoughts would be helpfull as I have no honest mechanics in my area that could deal with this problem, thx again!

Thats a turbo seal - you need to rebuild or replace it although, I drove my 245 with a bad turbo seal for months.......oil consumption was a little steep. Do the turbo & it's good for another 200,000.
