Pick and pull would be best value. These don't really wear out...what happened?

The electrical connector to the coil from the wiring harness. The have gotten brittle and hard over time and all of the locks are broken off. I used zip ties to keep them together but I think the female spades are not tight and making a bad connection. It will start stumbling and as soon as I touch the connector it straightens right out.

The dealership parts counter can get them. They come as a kit with new crimp pins but I would be inclined to remove the old pins and put them into the new connector. The wire routing has the wires tight and there are a couple of cylinders where I don't think there is enough slack to trim off the old connectors to add the new pins.

Part of the problem is the cosmetic cover (Torx bolts) that traps the heat created by the engine.
In all of my Volvos, the priority is to remove the cosmetic cover (and the Torx bolts) and store them in a safe place in the garage.
Now the heat can escape, decreasing the chance of overheating the connector.

Personally, I would clean all connectors with a fine screwdriver, reconnect them and zip tie it.
Changing the harness is not easy and can create new problems.
