I picked up a 98 V70 non turbo with higher mileage 200k miles (320k kms) on it. I paid $500 for it so not too much. Needed some work like brakes and a tie rod, and the body has a lot of scratches but not a dealbreaker.
Engine wise, the PCV was smoking quite a bit so I decided to take it apart and cleaned all the ducts, hoses, catch can, and flame trap.
Put it back together and started the car and got a check engine light (P0123) along with high revs. I checked all the vacuum lines and found the elbow on the side of the intake manifold was not connected, so I connected it, erased the code and started the car.
Same thing happened the second time except the engine was running smoother, but the check engine light came on with the same code as well as the flashing arrow.
I did clean the throttle body, but Im thinking now that I may have damaged the tps sensor because I used brake cleaner to clean it.
Any ideas? When I drove the car home after buying it, there was no issues with the flashin arrow, so Im thinking its somewhat connected to the tps sensor.
Thanks
Thanks

UPDATE:
I found out that I forgot to plug in the tps plug. However, there is still a problem. WHen I start the car, its starts fine and run fine for a good 10-15 second, and then you hear a slight difference in idle and the check engine light along with the flashing arrow comes on. This time though, there are no codes when I scan the computer! I tried it a few times and same thing with the lights coming on, but no codes stored.
The only other thing I noticed is that the hose that goes from the airbox to the exhaust manifold is cracked. I think this is the pre-heat hose??
Please help!
Thanks
