99 S70 T5. Random part fell from dash.

Post by kmg108 »

Greetings to all.

I was replacing the heater core on my beloved 99 s70 t5 and I pulled back the carpet on the driver side and was greeted by a random part that just showed up. I am not certain if it is part of the car, or maybe something else, but it seems to have come from behind the driver dash somewhere. I shined a light up there, but nothing obvious was missing from what I could see. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance. Kris

^^+1.

It is a bit of a bear to get it back in place properly but it can be done.

Thank you very much. I will take a look in the vicinity of the ashtray. If I can't get it back in there, it doesn't sound like an important part...especially since I'm not a smoker.

Thanks again!!!

in my c70 it goes above the ashtray and makes it pop out or pop back in. there is a metal bracket that the plastic tray sits in.
